Side seal describes construction, not a new material
In side-weld construction, the bag is sealed along its side edges and has a folded bottom. This differs from a bag with a seal across the base. The LDPE name still describes the film material; it does not tell you the bag dimensions, thickness, colour or closing method.
Start from the LDPE bag material and existing options, then identify the side-seal construction you need. This page is a focused enquiry guide, not a claim that every existing LDPE variant already has side seals.
Measure the space your product will use
Give width and usable length in inches. Explain which edge stays open for loading, whether a flap is needed and whether your reference measurement includes that flap. A clear description of the opening helps distinguish the bag you want from a different format with similar overall dimensions.
- Describe the contents and how they are put into the bag.
- Specify thickness in micron if you know it; otherwise ask to discuss it.
- State clear or coloured film and plain or printed presentation.
- Add the order quantity in kg and destination city.
You do not need to know every technical term before asking. Describe your packing routine in your own words, and identify any feature you want to keep from a current bag. Tell us if the bag will touch food and we will confirm a suitable grade.
Side seal and tape closure are different choices
A side seal is part of the bag body; an adhesive flap is a closing feature. Asking for one does not automatically include the other. If you are comparing material and closure together, the existing PP transparent bags with tape-flap options provide a separate route. Do not substitute PP for requested LDPE without confirming your specification.
Order minimums and quote details
Standard stock: minimum 25 kg. Printed bags or custom-size requests: minimum 200 kg. Confirm whether your requested side-seal size is standard stock or a custom request. Rates are on request.
Ask for the per-kg rate against the stated specification. A search for “1 kg price” refers to the unit rate; it does not change the minimum order.
